As well as being a long weekend it was a quiet one on the following Mayo front, with yesterday’s LGFA match against Westmeath the only one on that involved the county. But hold onto your hats as next weekend approaches as there are four Mayo teams in action then, facing opposition from Ulster, Munster and Leinster.
Saturday is the busier of the two days next weekend, with three of the four games are taking place then. Here’s the full list of all the weekend games in which Mayo are involved.
The hurlers will have had a three-week break by the time they take the field at MacHale Park on Saturday. Their NHL Division 2B Round 5 clash with table-toppers Kildare at the Castlebar venue throws in at 2pm that afternoon.
At 5pm that same evening the women’s footballers take on Dublin in the LGFA NFL Division One semi-final. The venue for that game has yet to be confirmed and it’s not clear yet either if it’s to be broadcast on TG4 or streamed on the LGFA/Lidl Player.
Also on Saturday, the county’s camogie team face Cavan in the Camogie Leagues Division 4 semi-final. Neither a venue nor a throw-in time have yet been confirmed for that game.
On Sunday, the men’s footballers have the stage to themselves. They’re in Ennis for the NFL Division Two semi-final, with throw-in at Cusack Park set for 1.45pm. TG4 are broadcasting that game live.
As we get nearer the weekend those missing fixture details as well as information on streaming of the games will become available. Once this happens, I’ll post the relevant details here.
