It’s not every day of the week that the county wins an All-Ireland title.
Today was one of those rare days, when the Mayo U16 camogie team overcame the challenge of Cavan in this afternoon’s All-Ireland U16D camogie final. This All-Ireland title decider, played at Coralstown GAA club, Kinnegad, finished in an emphatic 4-12 to 1-3 victory for the Green and Red.
Mayo have been the form team in this competition all the way from when it started in late June. Following an overwhelming win over Monaghan in the opening round, they then recorded big victories over Donegal, Tyrone, Cavan and Louth before beating Donegal again by a wide margin in the semi-final.
They backed up that strong form once again today to claim a deserved national title. Congrats to them on a great victory for their team and for the county.

Well done to everyone involved in the Mayo U-16 Camogie Team on winning the All Ireland title
