Armagh have named their starting fifteen and subs for their NFL Division One clash with our lads at the Athletic Grounds on Saturday evening (throw-in 7pm).
The side named shows two changes from the one that started against Kerry last time out, with Paul Duffy replacing the suspended Ciaran McKeever at centre half-back while Gavin McParland comes in at top of the left instead of the injured Eugene McVerry. As expected, Malachy Mackin and Finnian Moriarty – who both had suspensions lifted during the week – are also included in the starting line-up.
Armagh’s team and subs for Saturday night are as follows:
Armagh (NFL Division One v Mayo 3/3/2012): Philip McEvoy; Andy Mallon, Brendan Donaghy, Declan McKenna; Kevin Dyas, Paul Duffy, Finnian Moriarty; Charlie Vernon, Malachy Mackin; Aidan Forker, Brian Mallon, Anto Duffy; Caolan Rafferty, John Kingham, Gavin McParland. Subs: Darren McAvoy, Stefan Campbell, David Lavery, Mark Shields, Billy Joe Padden, Paul Carvill, James Lavery, Ryan Rafferty, Colm Watters, Michael O’Rourke, Michael Stevenson.
So, no starting place on this occasion for Billy Joe, though I’d say there’s a good chance we might see him in action at some stage before the evening is out.
We’re due to name our team for Saturday night at some stage tomorrow.
