We’ve two football Championship matches involving the county on this weekend. The first of these takes place this afternoon, with the Mayo ladies in action against Tyrone in the LGFA Senior football Championship.
This match takes place at Pairc Sean MacDiarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon where throw-in is set for 1pm today. The game is being streamed live on the Ladies Football Facebook page (here) and Midwest Radio are also covering it.
Best of luck to the women as they embark on the start of their Championship campaign. Back later on with a report on the game.
Bookies pretty sure Mayo is going to win – hope that’s the outcome, otherwise next week v Armagh will be a non event.
Best of luck, girls. Hoping you can win today and keep moving in the right direction, the same as the lads.
The bookies were right, Mayo Exile – it was a big win for the ladies, 4-17 to 0-4.
Wow… super result for our women. Well done to our mighty Mayo women. Ar aghaidh linn.
Great win girls. Well done to one and all of you. It’s no surprise when you see the efforts put in at the clubs in the county and the amount of young kids out there training and enjoying the game. Hard work pays off.
Impressive performance for a first outing after a slowish start. Lots of room for improvement in shooting though. Sarah Rowe particularly sharp.
Well done to all involved with the Mayo ladies
