It’s the third Sunday in September and we’ve an All-Ireland triumph by a club from Mayo to celebrate.
The club in question are Breaffy, whose ladies Rounders team today captured the All-Ireland Ladies Senior title. In a match played this afternoon in glorious sunshine at Abbotstown, they beat Bagenalstown of Carlow on a scoreline of 28-9. Here’s the moment they sealed the win:

Today’s win is Breaffy’s second All-Ireland Senior Ladies Rounders title in three years, with the club having also won this title in 2021. The victory also continues the county’s proud tradition within women’s Rounders, with Castlebar having won this title no fewer than nine times, as they dominated the game between 1988 and 1996, winning eight titles in nine years during that period. Roll of honour details here.
Congrats to Breaffy on their marvellous All-Ireland title success today.
Well done Breaffy ladies, landing an All Ireland for Mayo in September
Congratulations to all involved!
