Mayo 2-14 Fermanagh 1-12: second half revival sees us through

At half-time today I’d happily have taken any kind of win. Fermanagh were well on top with the wind in that opening period and all the problems we’d seen so graphically against Galway three weeks ago were still there. Although we’d have the gale behind us in the second half, it’d require a far better showing to overturn the six-point […]

Three changes in team for tomorrow

Photo: @MayoGAA We named our team a short while ago for tomorrow’s all-or-nothing Round 2B qualifier clash with Fermanagh. The line-up we’ve named shows three changes from the team that started against Galway in last month’s Connacht semi-final. Here it is: Mayo (All-Ireland Qualifier Round 2B v Fermanagh 9/7/2016): David Clarke (Ballina Stephenites); Brendan Harrison (Aghamore), Kevin Keane (Westport), Keith Higgins (Ballyhaunis); […]

It’s the first Galway/Roscommon final since 1998 […]

Parsons out for Fermanagh game

The bad news is that Charlestown midfielder Tom Parsons damaged his hamstring in training last Friday evening and so he’s definitely […]

3.30pm throw-in time for Fermanagh match

There’s still no official confirmation from the GAA on this but my understanding is that Saturday’s Round 2B qualifier clash with Fermanagh at MacHale Park will definitely have a throw-in time of 3.30pm. In addition, while there’s no official confirmation of this yet from RTÉ, I also gather that the match is being broadcast live by them that afternoon. I guess we’ll […]
