The 2017 football championship is up and running and so too is this year’s prediction mini-league, brought to you once again by the technical wizardry of Facetheball.com.

I clattered the first fence badly last weekend and so, slumming it in 36th position, it already looks like I’m set to have prediction egg on my face this summer. Not so the young lad, though, whose defence of his title began in fine style – he’s sitting pretty in third place after the first round of predictions.
