To mark the release of his new book all about grassroots GAA, entitled ‘This is the Life’, Ciaran Murphy of Second Captains fame sat down with Rob Murphy to talk all about what motivated him to write about how the GAA can captivate villages and towns all over the land.
Ciaran dropped into our studios in south Mayo after a day of travelling around the county visiting some of the best bookstores to sign copies of the book.
The chat covers everything from the allure of the club to the sense of duty and pride that seems to entice even the busiest of people into dedicating huge chunks of time to playing, coaching and/or simply marking the pitches.
Published by Penguin, Ciarán’s book is now available at all good bookstores as well as online at Kenny’s and loads of other online destinations.
