  1. Group 1 definitely the Group of Death in the senior championship. It will be very interesting to see how the great white hopes in Kilmeena get on there.

  2. Made this comment on Discord, but might as well throw it up here so more folks can get a chuckle from my terrible picks come the end of the year….

“Fantastic draw. Though, not sure if there’s any potential draw that wouldn’t throw up a fair chunk of excitement or drama.

In senior, you can already see the blood, sweat and tears flying in that Group 1 & Group 3. It’ll be super, super tight. I can’t even pick 1 team I’m SURE will get through from either of those (Breaffy & Ballintubber you’d think ‘should’ from 1 but both Aghamore & Kilmeena really well drilled sides & with more than enough talent to hurt anyone in the county on their day. 3 you’d expect Knockmore again, but all 4 sides will be fancying their chances there).

    Champions: Mitchels
One I’m keen to watch: Claremorris
Potential Mayo Bolter: Caolan Hopkins (Knockmore) (Closely followed by Mark Cunningham – Mitchels)

Intermediate Group 1 is phenomenal. I’d have been giving any of Louisburgh, Moy Davitts & Crossmolina a fair or outside chance of winning it this year… until they all drew each other. And Lahardane will come in with plenty of confidence after last years exploits in Connacht.

    Champions: Moy Davitts
One I’m keen to watch: Ballinrobe & Parke
Potential Mayo Bolter: Brian Reape (Moy Davitts – himself & Clarke to cause havoc again)

I’ve given up trying to predict what’s ever going to happen in junior. I’d have put my house on Cill Chomain sweeping it last year and making a big push for the All Ireland….

Champions: Cill Chomain (I never learn)
One I’m keen to watch: Swinford”

  3. Bonniconlon and Swinford have met it must be every year for years it seems. They meet so often in championship.
The intermediate championship as always the one I’m most looking forward to.
