Forget that last rant about An Post: they might well be a lumbering, inefficient semi-State agency but now – like one of our fleet-footed minors – you can do a little shimmy and leave them where any big, slow and awkward opponent deserves to be left, i.e. sitting on their hole, by eschewing snail mail in favour of the more environmentally friendly and far quicker email option. This is because, as my amigos in Club Mayo Dublin have just confirmed, electronic tickets are now available for Saturday from Ticketmaster. The flip side, of course, is that with this development there are no valid excuses left for not getting to the game. And don’t start any bullshit about the Digital Divide either, you hear?
I think the GAA has made a balls of this.
At least the electronic tickets should sort out the problem.
There are still tickets available but I think the capacity will have to be tested. There should be a great atmosphere and the belief in this team should be clear from the roars of the green and red faithful once the prick that is reffing it throws the liathroid in.

anyone else hear that the tyrone captain broke his collarbone and wont play saturday?
He did alright, Nathan – I mentioned it in the post I did on Tuesday and it’s been in the papers too so it’s definite. Not sure what it’ll mean in terms of their rejigging their team but, if you’re interested, there’s a discussion on this topic going on amongst a few Nordies on the match thread over at gaaboard.com.
Best of luck to the boys on Saturday. I am fully confident that they will win and by a few points as well. I have to admit a dark cloud passed over my head when I saw who was the appointed referee. After his display involving us and Tyrones seniors in early August I hoped that we would not cross him again. Every paper commented on his refereeing . I assumed that the Co Board made their feelings known, or did they?. Anyway I fully believe that this team will achieve its goal, the full back line will tighten another notch or two, similarily the midfield will also tighten the screws. It does not matter who they are missing, the guy that comes in wants to prove himself and hopefully be the hero, sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you dont. Ha way the lads!
I’m confident too, ontheroad – they’re a super bunch of lads and I really hope they make it over the line tomorrow.
