FBD Final: New York 0-7 Mayo 0-19 at full-time

The FBD World Series Final has just concluded at the Rockland GAA club in Orangeburg, New York, where Ballycroy’s Eoin Sweeney led his charges to an 0-19 to 0-7 victory over the locals.  At half-time, the sides were tied at six points each with our first half scores coming from were Jimmy Killeen with two points (one a free) and one point each from Andy Moran, Mark Ronaldson, Aidan O’Shea and Trevor Mortimer.  Killeen added a further six points to his tally in the second half, with the other scores coming from Enda Varley (three points), Kevin McLoughlin (two) and one each from Trevor Mortimer and sub Lee Keegan.

The Mayo team for this match was:

David Clarke; Kevin Keane, Ger Cafferkey, Chris Barrett; Peadar Gardiner, Trevor Howley, Shane Nally; Ger McDonagh, Trevor Mortimer; Jimmy Killeen, Andy Moran, Kevin McLoughlin; Enda Varley, Aidan O’Shea, Mark Ronaldson.
