Those of you who are already counting down the days until the return of inter-county action in the New Year will no doubt be glad to know that details of our fixtures in the 2012 FBD League have now been published – full details here.
Like last year, we’re in Section B and with London being allocated a place in Section A it means that we won’t get to renew our acquaintance with the Exiles for another while at least. Our FBD campaign is set to open with a home match (at least I assume we’re at home as we’re listed first) against Leitrim on Sunday, 8th January (throw-in 2pm). The following Sunday at the same time we face GMIT (that one also looks like it’s a home match) while our final Section B match, against Roscommon, is at the same time on the Sunday after that again. That one’s an away one, by the looks of it.
The Home Final, should we make it that far for the third year on the trot, is on the final Sunday in January (29th), with the other Final down for decision over in New York on 7th October next.
According to that fixture list, Sligo IT have all their matches at home :p
Did anyone else take note of the size of Pierce Hanley today. What we would give to have a player like him in the current Mayo setup.
Hanley kicked ass today. Favourite part of the whole match was him flooring the Aussie with a proper shoulder, who then had to go off :p
Willie Joe do you know when the new Mayo jersey is going to be out.
Would like to have it for a Christmas present
I didn’t know that there was going to be a new one for next year but it’d certainly make sense to get it into the shops before Christmas if there is.
Lads just think what pierce could do for us. Thought he was brilliant yesterday. Its just our luck hes the only paddy doing well in Australia.
I wonder if Horan is in touch with him and asking him to keep September free next year………just in case like?????
@ cynical cynthia, i see o’neills have the mayo jersey on sale for €20, so there might well be a new jersey on the way for the new year. If memory serves me correct i think they have them out in time for the league, keep an eye on here;
