It’s getting a bit hard to keep up with all of the initiatives – most of them revolving around tickets for the decider – that are going on at the minute as final frenzy starts to build. Here’s today’s list.
First off there are two official Mayo GAA fundraisers I want to draw your attention to. The first is a Night at the Dogs fundraiser being held by Cáirde Mhaigheo in conjunction with the Mayo Association Galway at Galway Greyhound Stadium on Friday week (9th). Tickets for the fundraiser cost €20 each and, yes, there’ll be a chance to win All-Ireland tickets on the night. Full details on this event are here.
The second one is a Cáirde Mhaigheo London event that takes place at the Oxford Arms, 265 Camden High Street, NW1 7BU, on Sunday, 11th September, where throw-in is scheduled for 6.30pm. There’ll be a raffle at this event for two All-Ireland final tickets, a signed Mayo jersey and more.
There’s another opportunity to win tickets this coming Monday. The Mayo GAA Players Welfare Lotto (hosted by Smart Lotto) have ramped up their ticket giveaway for the coming week. There were two tickets won last Monday and next Monday, in addition to the €10,200 jackpot prize, there’ll be six tickets up for grabs. Play the Lotto here.
Other draws for tickets I’ve come across:
Drumalee GAA club, Cavan, have a draw for two tickets.
Curry GAA club, Sligo, have a draw for six individual tickets – details here.
Mattock Rangers GAA club, Louth, have a draw for two tickets.
eirGAA have a quiz, which if you get three out of five questions right, gets you into a draw for tickets – details here.
UPDATE: Claremorris GAA club are holding an Up for the Match event on 12th September, at which there’ll be a chance to win tickets – details here.
UPDATE: Bonniconlon GAA club have a draw for two tickets – details here.
UPDATE: Achill GAA club have a draw for two tickets.
UPDATE: I’ve also been told that Charlestown Sarsfields have a draw for two tickets, lines for which cost €2 and are available in local shops and pubs.
UPDATE: Owenmore Gaels GAA club, Sligo, have a draw for two tickets – details here.
Recap on draws I highlighted the other day:
Breaffy GAA club have a draw for six tickets.
Donegal GAA have a draw for four tickets – details here.
Drumconrath GAA club, Meath, have a draw for two tickets – details here.
Club Rossie have a draw for two tickets – details here.
That’s your lot for now. Back later on with the latest edition of the Mayo News football podcast, which is set to go live this afternoon.
I have two Terrace Tickets for the Hurling which I will swap for one Ticket for the Football if anyone knows someone that is after Hurling Tickets!
Just on the side! How many tickets would I be worth to stay at home to prepare and light the bonfires?
Just spotted that Bonniconlon GAA Club are also raffling two tickets – draw takes place on 16th September in the Village Tavern. Tickets €2 each or 3 for €5 (relatively bargainous) and are available from the club committee and coaches.
I have two premium hurling tickets to swap but I guess there’s not a lot of point in posting that here 😉
I don’t think you would get anyone to swap tickets. You could buy hurling ones on tickets.ie earlier
Thanks (again) Anne-Marie – just spotted that one too. I’ve added that one to the list in the post as well.

Interesting reading from a week ago.

If you told them at the gate you were just going in for a minute to see someone would that work?
Hi Willie Joe, Owenmore Gaels in Collooney, Sligo have a draw for 2 tickets as well as 8 other prizes up for grabs as well on the 15 September, contact no is 086 2332202 for anyone interested, I was trying to put a pic of the poster for d draw up but failed. Up mayo for the final
Hi Norma – can you mail that pic to me (at mayogaablog@ymail.com)? I’ll update the post and add a link to the poster when doing so.
Seems the gaa season ticket website was unavailable for a while today but it’s up now. I checked it out to see if any details on my tickets but nothing. It would be nice if you could at least know where your seats will be! Must be a busy day for them. I chatted with a girl in the ticket office on Monday and she said they would be charging the credit cards on Wednesday and then mailing them out to the postal address on file. No print at home option for the final!
Can’t wait for that mail man!
Hurling tickets now sold out so if anyone come across someone looking for them, will swap 2 Terrace for 1 Football
Just chatted with HQ, they are running behind on issuing the football final tickets due to some system issue. Anyway, should be processed by tomorrow, so they say.
When will tickets be issued out to clubs? Anyone know?
Garrymore GAA club holding a raffle for two stand tickets for All Ireland Final. Tickets available through the following link. Good value for a €5. Shane Nally & Caolan Crowe are club members on the panel.
