The Yerras are first out of the traps with their line-up for Sunday’s League opener against our (black-clad?) lads at Fitzgerald Stadium (throw-in 2pm). Yerra, here it is:
Kerry (NFL Division One v Mayo, 1/2/2015): Brendan Kealy (Kilcummin); Pa Kilkenny (Glenbeigh/Glencar), Mark Griffin (St Michaels/Foilmore), Shane Enright (Tarbert); Jonathan Lyne (Killarney Legion), Fionn Fitzgerald (Dr Crokes), Paul Murphy (Rathmore); David Moran (Kerins O’Rahillys), Bryan Sheehan (St Marys); Michael Geaney (Dingle), Kieran O’Leary (Dr Crokes), Johnny Buckley (Dr Crokes); Stephen O’Brien (Kenmare), Paul Geaney (Kenmare), Barry John Keane (Kerins O’Rahillys). Subs: Shane Murphy (Kilcummin), Jack Sherwood (Firies), Daithi Casey (Dr Crokes), Tommy Walsh (Kerins O’Rahillys), Padraig Ó Conchúir (Dingle), Thomas Hickey (Desmonds), Philip O’Connor (Cordal), Alan Fitzgerald (Castlegregory), Jack Maguire (Listowel Emmets), Conor Keane (Killarney Legion).
The above selection includes six of the starting team from last September’s All-Ireland final, with four others who featured off the bench against Donegal also making the cut for Sunday. I could, I suppose, compare this selection with their line-up against us in Limerick but that’d be just too painful for words.
We should be naming our side shortly.
Tommy Walsh will get a huge roar when he comes on as a sub so it’s important we are there in numbers and roar on our lads nothing easy in this division two points against the Yerras would be precious
Wouldn’t be suprised if Regan and Ronaldson started
Open to correction but i think The Kerry men missing from Limerick replay will be A O’Mahony,K Young,P Crowley,A Maher,D Walsh,K Donaghy,J O’Donoghe. So missing 7 starters or eight same starters from last game.
You are missing one Mayomagic – Brian Kelly is injured and replaced by Brendan Kealy for Sunday. So I make it 7 of the same starters from the game in Limerick.
