Hot on the heels of the decision to switch today’s LGFA League match between Galway and Mayo to the Connacht Centre of Excellence, it’s now been announced that the game is OFF. Player safety has been cited in relation to the decision to postpone the match, which, in light of the prevailing weather, makes perfect sense.
Any reason this game could not be played in the dome?
Dunno, Done Deal, it might have been booked already or something.
Travelling from Dublin to Mullingar this morning it was hard to see any match being played such was the weather. And as I well know it generally does not improve as one goes west. The Dome would not protect you as you drove home or elsewhere after the match and the forecast was not too hot weatherwise. So postponement as entirely logical.
I think the leitrim v london game was changed to the dome today
Was kitted out internally for a GAA conference the weekend I think.
London game was outside.
