40 seconds to go and a bad hand pass leads to an equalizing goal when Kilmeena had one hand on the cup, it’s all about getting the heads right now and instilling belief before extra time.

Massive respect to Kilmeena. What an amazing achievement in winning an All Ireland title in Croke Park today. Serious mental resolve to bounce back from that terrible handling error and crushing equalising goal late into injury time. A superb and composed performance in extra time to edge out the Kerry Champions. They look at to have a serious management team behind them too judging by their speed of movement of the ball, organisation and high intensity tackling right throughout the Mayo, Connacht & All Ireland competitions.
Nail biting stuff listened to it on M.W R.,and as usual they made a bags of it. Well done to the Kilmeena lads they have done the West proud ?.

Agree with all of the earlier comments. A titanic struggle today in Croker with lots of errors and poor shooting by both sides, probably due to the intensity and pressure applied by both sides. Jack Carney was the difference between the sides. The first Mayo All Ireland win in Croker this year. Marvellous example set by Kilmeena.
