  1. Sun to split the rocks and no wind in salthill I presume. ? Either way best of luck to the ladies.

  2. That is the strongest bench I think for a long time. Rachel Kearns, Shauna Howley, Lisa Cafferkey and Sarah Tierney could all have expected to start.
Leave everything on the pitch ladies and hopefully that’s enough. Looking forward to this one.
On another note I was at an U14 lgfa semi final last evening in Charlestown where the home team beat Castlebar girls. Even though it was a semifinal the scoreboard wasn’t in operation. I asked why and was told it would have been if it was the lads playing. Not good enough!

  3. Best of luck to our girls today, a real test of the progress made during Michael Moyles term.

  4. Mayo 0-6 to 1-2 up at half-time, Tara Needham bagging the lead score right on the hooter. Galway have the wind (and it’s blowing here like it always is) in the second half.

  5. JoeG, MayoLGFA don’t even appear to be tweeting score updates themselves today 🙁

  6. Brilliant win Ladies….and what a way to win it.
I didn’t think a 1 point lead at h.t was enough but fair play they dug deep.

  7. Fabulous win, congrats to both teams for a fantastic game ,the fitness levels are unbelievable, both teams were going as hard in the last minute as the first.

  8. A great win. I don’t believe either team played well, but Mayo dug out a win and that’s all they had to do. Well done to all involved.

  9. Wonderful win by Mayo ladies..showing true determination and fantastic skills ?

  10. Fantastic result for our Ladies. Galway left. the last 4 point chances behind them with the Atlantic wind behind them, the last 3 points for Mayo were outstanding . Mayo restarts were brilliant and brave against the Gale. I expect Galway might soon have a Mass said in Pearce Stadium. Com’on Mayo.

  11. Up the covies. Congrats to Aofie, her dad Gerry and all the geraghtys from Limerick!

  12. a gripping finale to that game. Our ladies showed great determination in the end and there is plenty room for improvement. well done girls!

  13. Comhghairdeas do foireann Mhuigeo.
    Great victory by the ladies!
Great determination to get the winning score!
