Match put back to tomorrow at 1pm

Mayo GAA have just confirmed that the match against Kerry has been put back until 1pm tomorrow. Here’s the official confirmation of what’s clearly a sensible decision, in particular for those of us for whom it would have meant a long drive in bad weather.

  1. Correct decision. Shouldn’t have to wait until today to decide .anyone with bit common sense at the top should have called it last night. Hope Jorge has passed by game time tomorrow. Good luck to all playing and travelling tomorrow. See ye there.

  2. I see RTE describing this game as a “replay” of last years league final. LOL

Like our league title wasn’t the correct result for the writer.

I think saying rematch would be fair enough like!

  3. Kerry (NFL v Mayo): S Ryan; G O’Sullivan, T Morley, T O’Sullivan; P Murphy, S Enright, G White; D O’Connor, J Barry; M Burns, S O’Shea, S O’Brien; D Moynihan, D Clifford, P Geaney.

  4. Tyrone V Dublin on TV instead.

Anyone know if tickets can be purchased for €15 today, because of the reschedule?

  5. Stupid that it took them until this morning to make a decision. As soon as Met Eireann issued RED for Galway it should have been postponed.

  6. At least we avoided the abuse online of the players all week on the official mayogaa page. It would be great if we got a statement from Mayo GAA to call for a stop to the online bullying.

  7. No reason why RTe could not show Mayo game tomorrow ? Is home and away repeats more important ?

  8. Home and away is the only place you’ll see a bit of Sun until possibly next June. RTÉ will do what’s good for RTÉ I’m not too confident about the match tomorrow Kerry have a strong team out but we’ll be in the stand supporting the lads win lose or draw

  9. I think in a way the schedule change contains a subliminal message. If game not live on tv lets get ourselves to machale park and get behind the guys !!

  10. Not everyone can get to the mayo game….remember divisional club games fixed this Sunday in mayo…and any clubs not playing are likely training.

  11. I can’t believe the Dubs v Tyrone game went ahead.
Conditions are brutal in Healy park
That’s RTÉ and the Gaa for ya

  12. 1. David Clarke – Ballina Stephenites
    2. Padraig O’Hora – Ballina Stephenites
    3. Oisin Mullin – Kilmaine
    4. Lee Keegan – Westport
    5. Michael Plunkett – Ballintubber
    6. Eoin O’Donoghue – Belmullet
    7. Patrick Durcan – Castlebar Mitchels
    8. Aidan O’Shea – Breaffy (C)
    9. Stephen Coen – Hollymount/Carramore
    10. Jordan Flynn – Crossmolina Deel Rovers
    11. Ryan O’Donoghue – Belmullet
    12. Diarmuid O’Connor – Ballintubber
    13. Kevin McLoughlin – Knockmore
    14. Darren Coen – Hollymount/Carramore
    15. James Durcan – Castlebar Mitchels

  13. Tyrone handling conditions much better so far than Dublin. Dubs very lucky to go in level at half time.

  14. Carriag Dubh its Eir who have the rights to the game and are there, it’s their coverage, RTE would have had to struck a deal today with them for share..

  15. Really nasty brawl going down the tunnel at half-time in Healy Park. This wasn’t handbags stuff…serious slaps thrown.

  16. The weather has been a huge leveller in this game, dubs look like they want to be anywhere else

Never taut I’d be cheering the dubs but we really could do with them winning here.

  17. no wonder Mickey Harte wanted it played
I will be sick if they nick this
or even a point out of it

  18. That’s a big result for Tyrone. Our relegation battle just got tougher – now we need to win two of the three games we’ve left, which, on the face of it, has to be a tall order.

  19. Ah thats us gone id say. What ever hope we had depended on Dublin winning this game. Can’t see us improving enough to beat Kerry at home, never mind Galway away.

  20. I don’t agree at all about it not being a disaster if we’re relegated , it’s a complete failure and sets us back at least two years .

  21. Maybe Donegal will do the honourable thing and take the drop. They have Monaghan at home, Tyrone at home and then Kerry away on the last day to send them down.

  22. Nobody gave Tyrone a hope today…look at their pathetic no show v Galway last week…..Liverpool beaten by relegation threatened Watford….

This is sport and anything can happen. Our players won’t be given innueg and fans shouldn’t either.

  23. Well whoever of our big guns might have been close to coming back could be getting a jersey tomorrow.

I wasn’t too convinced with all the people that were saying all we had to do was beat Tyrone in the last game.

    The pressure is in now.

  24. Dublin can be beaten even allowing for the conditions tonight, wining is a mindset, Galway v Dubs final this year.

  25. That has to be the worst form of blatant thuggery I have ever seen , it needs to be dealt with accordingly . There is a video clip on Twitter, Not your normal handbags , it was quite vicious .

  26. At least now its backs to the wall. The new kids on the block and players hovering around the squad the last few years will have a chance to show if they have what it takes at this level. Maybe it might bring out the potential they have

  27. We have to hope we get something out of Kerry
Game and keep them in relegation zone as there
    Final match with Donegal
Could be crucial to our Survival .7 points will guarantee our Division One
    Status .

  28. I agree Casual Observer, there are 6 points there to be played for. It will certainly focus the minds for tomorrow and last 2 remaining games. These are all teams we have beaten quite recently so nothing to fear. So go out and get it done Mayo.

  29. Bad result for us. The positive is that Tyrone will probably be safe when they come to Castlebar on the last day. We still need to get a win before that game though.
