  1. Mayo deserve that win over galway is just that they are more prepared team and way more stronger , they are getting prepared for against dublin and mayo is going to beat them again they beat them twice in 2021 and 2023 so they can use that advantage again mayo can use it against them

  2. Think it’s time to move on from Salthill now. We got the points and don’t have to be worrying about Galway again till the summer if we meet them. They won’t be that poor again you’d imagine but hopefully we’ll improve aswell.
In terms of the league which as far as we should be looking a win on Saturday would be great. It means very little in the grand scheme of things but would settle things for the league.
Dublin looked a bit off it last week but Basquel looked sharp and he’ll probably start so I think Mayo will need to be well up for it.
Hopefully lads get through tonight okay.

  3. Would be nice to get a win over the Dubs on Saturday as I think its 2012 since we beat them in Mc Hale.
Agree Basquel looked very sharp when he came on V Farney Army . Timing the run this year has to be paramount for Championship and I expect Saturdays game to be a fairly open affair. This should suits us. I’m guessing we could win by 3 if we can score some goals. Great to have games to look forward to week on week now.

  4. Dont think there is a stream available for UCG game thats on now , they lead 1-3 to 0-4 & its ht .

  5. Looks like Ryan and Tommy will be finished with Sigerson tonight. 1-12 v 1-06 behind in last minute.

  6. Not a time to rain on anyones parade when they get knocked out but sheridan really not getting enough good results with very good teams .

  7. Frank Irwin and Ruairi Keane showing well.
    At 10 and 6 respectively.
Both look ready for league football.

  8. Wouldn’t be the first time Sheridan didn’t get good results and performances from talented teams.
He doesn’t encourage good young footballers to show their skill. The style of football he encourages sets young players back in their football development

  9. Sheridan doesnt let young fellows express themselves on the field, he destroyed some good Mayo underage teams by having them play to his system of keep the ball and we wont get beat by much and we might score a few and win by a point. He might suit adult Ulster football ,but not underage football in the west. Let young lads play football and enjoy themselves and the game.

  10. Frank Irwin man of match in UL v DCU game, UL thru to semi final. Cian McHale Moy Davitts started at full Forward, Jack Fallon came on Late in the game and Fenton Kelly also on the panel.

  11. Exactly @ culmore.
Good to see Frank Irwin putting in mom performance for UL. Another big man to come in to the Mayo set-up before too long.

  12. MayoMessi Cian McHale wasn’t starting, came on near the end though.
2 hops Irwin has already played a few times and is in squad, expect he’ll feature post Sigerson.

  13. Imagine Cian could still have been carrying the knock that brought him off at half time in the previous game. Didn’t manage to make as much of an impact off the bench as he’d have liked in his ~15 minutes but I’d expect him to be pushing again for a starting spot in the Semi.

Jack looked good in his brief cameo. A couple of big fields for them at important times. Was nice to see Frank name checking him and praising his impact in his post match interview too. You can take the lads out of Mayo… etc etc.
