Mayo GAA charity match on 30th December

Mayo GAA yesterday confirmed details of a charity match that’s set to be played over the Christmas holiday period. The match will pit a Mayo selection against a Club All-Stars panel made up of club players from within the county and it’s being held in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The venue for the game is the Claremorris GAA pitch and it’s set to get underway there on 30th December at 1.30pm. There’s no information as yet about ticketing arrangements for the game, which will also be streamed live by Mayo GAA TV.

Given that it’s taking place over the holiday period and in light of the significant pent-up demand among punters who last saw the Mayo team in action back in June, there’s sure to be a big crowd in Claremorris on the day. Hopefully it’ll prove a successful fundraiser for what’s a hugely deserving cause.

Further information on the game, including details of the Club Stars All-Star panel, is available here.

  1. Team I would like to see start. Think some of these players desire a chance to show what they can do, hopefully the weather is good and doesn’t ruin the game.
