More coverage about Sunday’s match

The Mayo News hit the streets yesterday and, as you’d expect, there’s acres of coverage in it about Sunday’s match. So if you haven’t yet had your fill about our All-Ireland semi-final defeat (unlikely, I know) here’s another generous helping for you.

Mike Finnerty does the match report, Edwin McGreal has the player ratings and there’s analysis by both Noel Connelly and Sean Rice. There’s also a ‘three things we learned’ piece on the game.  Onto the post-match quotes, where there’s reaction from James Horan, Andy Moran and Keith Higgins. If that isn’t enough for you, there’s also the post-match podcast where Rob Murphy, Mike Finnerty and Daniel Carey give their thoughts on what happened to us on Sunday.

That’s the lot for now but with this week’s editions of both the Western People and the Kerryman still to appear (no rush lads, ’tis only news) there’ll be more to come for the truly dedicated before the week is out.

If you want something different, however, then I can heartily recommend Cowboys & Aliens which I went to see last night. As the title suggests, it’s a Western about cowboys, Indians and creatures from outer space and, for my money, the film is right up there as one of the great classics of all time, along with Battleship Potemkin and Mary Poppins. If two hours of this kind of stuff doesn’t take your mind off what happened to us on Sunday, I really don’t know what will.

Love the comparison, sort of covers the whole spectrum, doesn’t it?
