NFL Prediction Mini-League 2018 – the Launch

The National Football League for 2018 gets going this coming weekend so it’s time to launch the NFL prediction mini-league to go with it. This is the tenth time the competition has taken place, once again thanks to the technical wizardry of facetheball.com.

This year the whole enterprise has come back under the facetheball.com umbrella and won’t, as has been the case for the last few years, be run as an Allianz initiative. That’s the only change, though, as you’ve still got all the thrills and spills of navigating your predictive way through wildly varying form lines in the four Divisions. This weekend, for example, how about Louth v Down? Derry v Westmeath? Wicklow v Waterford? Closer to home, indeed, what about Monaghan v Mayo?

All those choices and more will be placed in front of you following a few simple clicks and keystrokes. Here’s what you have to do.

Log in, or register if you haven’t already done so, on facetheball.com, join the 2018 Allianz Football League competition and then click to enter it. Then click on the “Join Mini-League” option on the panel on the left-hand side and, when prompted to do so, enter the code lCF9Hkio1EEE.  This tends to work best if you copy the code directly from here and paste it into the box. That should be you signed up.

Don’t forget that the predictions deadline for Week 1 is Saturday 27th at 1pm so make sure you’ve entered your best guesses about the first weekend of NFL action by then. Best of luck to everyone who takes part in the prediction mini-league this year. Let the fun begin!

  1. Funds now collected on the site if clubs want to run their own fundraising mini leagues

  2. I’ll make a prediction…. And it’s this.. According to the official GAA fixtures website… RTE GAA website and indeed RTE Aertel page 212…The Allianz Hurling League fixture, between Mayo and Donegal will be played in McHale Park, Castlebar this coming Sunday the 28th at 2pm… Over 2600 people seen the state of the pitch after the Leitrim and Galway FBD fixtures, when even the white lines were washed away … Concidering the needs for a good surface, especially for hurling, it’s hard to see how the McHale Park surface can adequately cope with a hurling game next Sunday… I have nothing against hurling being played in McHale Park, in fact I welcome it when the conditions are such that it can be played there… But a first round Mayo V Donegal in 2B of the Allianz Hurling League is unlikely to test the capacity of 38K of McHale Park, so in the circumstances I suggest a change of venue…. McHale Park is needed for the following Saturday NFL fixture, when probably only McHale Park would be able to host the considerable expected crowd…. My prediction ‘something has to give’!

  3. how about Gilmartin Park in Kiltimagh for the Mayo v Donegal Hurling game next Sunday

  4. No Willie Joe! , Aertel is still with us…it’s is at times handy, not every one has broadband… Page 202 for GAA in General, 211 for Gaelic-football fixtures/results and 212 for hurling… It usually mirrors the RTE GAA website, and can at times be more up to date than the official Mayo Gaa website, or the GAA official website , as regard’s venue changes, cancellations etc …. But I have never found it to be better informed than the Mayo GAA BLOG!

  5. According to RTE now… The Mayo /Donegal Allianz Hurling League fixture, is changed to James Stephens Park, Ballina….2pm Sunday next.. So I got my first prediction of 2018 correct… Good job too, because I seen that McHale Park is to host a double header, with the Mayo /Dublin ladies and gentlemen to play on the same Saturday evening… Now for my second prediction of 2018 Just need to figure out what’s going to happen with Bitcoin I??? .. Haven’t got the foggiest!… Hardly on a par with ‘Old Moores Alnamic’ yet!

  6. Not sure what the problem is Willie Joe, but when I enter the code above, exactly as it is , I keep getting the message, ”Mini League Not Found ”

  7. Observer2 – watch out for the full-stop after the code, if that’s included in what you copy and paste it won’t work. Try again and see if that does it.

  8. Does anyone know is the old allianzleaguespredictions still up and running? I have tried to get into the site but it appears down.

  9. Face the ball .com seems to have taken over the allianz predictions league this year. They used only do the championship prediction leagues up to now.

  10. Willie Joe, I didn’t include the full stop, but still couldn’t access it.
Will try again later…..Entered another mini league without any problem, but wanted to do this too
