No team before Sunday once again

I understand that our rather successful policy of naming the team on the day is set to continue for the trip to Cork this coming Sunday.  From what I gather, fitness tests are still awaited on both Enda Varley and Ronan McGarrity and Johnno obviously wants to see if either of them will be available before deciding on his starting fifteen for Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

We first used this on-the-day team announcement ploy up in Derry a few weeks back and have since repeated the tactic for the matches against Kerry and Monaghan.  Three games, three wins – those 9/4 odds being offered by Paddy Power for the win on Sunday are looking more attractive with every hour that passes …

  1. think I will have a bit of a flutter on that 9/4 odds -I can understand Cork as favouties but those odds look like an attractive gamble.
Will be in the bookies anyway with the Grand National on Saturday and was scouring the field earlier today for a possible Irish winner and a horse by the name of Arbour Supreme caught my eye, owned by JP McManus and trained by Willie Mullins ….. and what colours does he wear ? Green and Red !!! And with odds of 18-1 today a few bob each way is already decided. Then I will need funds to squander on that bumper 14 or 15m lotto on Saturday night. And a few bob on Mayo at 9/4 as well. Janey Mac there must be some chance of collecting some winnings out of all of that !
