I’m really doing the Kerryman on it at this stage with the minors, I know, but I’m going to have to give their All-Ireland quarter-final meeting with Offaly tomorrow down in Hyde Park a miss as well. I’ve other stuff on up here early in the day tomorrow which prevents me from heading to Hyde Park for the very early throw-in but myself and the young buck have managed to clear our diaries for later in the afternoon so we can make it to Croker. I’ve told my small man that his precious Dubs are likely for the high jump when they face Thrown but that there’s an outside chance the hand of history could ensure that he sees some Kerrymen crying beforehand. On that basis (plus the ice-cream) he’s happy to come along to HQ with me tomorrow afternoon.
Hopefully I’ll be able to catch at least some of the live commentary of the minor match on Midwest and, assuming I do, I’ll provide a few updates on the game at Hyde Park via Twitter. If the lads win tomorrow, their semi-final against either Tyrone or Kerry is scheduled for the 22nd of August and I sincerely hope I’ll be able to make it to that one (if we’re in it that is). That said, we’re planning to spend most of August out of the capital so I’m not 100% sure yet where I’ll be that day. Yerra, there’s always the final …
I can’t make it either Willie Joe, unfortunately, and I thought I might have been able to go but the throw-in time combined with other commitments means it’s impossible.
Ah sure, the 22nd of August is all clear-so ya never know!
The very best of luck to the Minors, they never fail to brighten up our Summer!
