With a resounding 81% of votes cast, I think it’s safe to conclude that you reckon we’ll win Connacht this year. Time to move on, then, and test the waters about this coming weekend’s Connacht semi-final against Leitrim.
I see that Paddy Power now have us at 1/80 to prevail on Sunday so there’s little point, I reckon, in confining the choice on this one between win, lose or draw. Will we win convincingly? Or not so convincingly? Or not at all? Time to vote, hombres.
How will the Leitrim match go?
- Easy win for us (56%, 45 Votes)
- Not-so-easy win for us (36%, 29 Votes)
- Shock win for them (6%, 5 Votes)
- Draw (2%, 2 Votes)
Total Voters: 81

What’s your version of an easy win :p
I’ve left that one open to interpretation, Digits!
I see the Connaught Telegraphy has had a go at naming the team: http://www.con-telegraph.ie/sport/gaelic/3187-horan-open-to-suggestion-on-championship-restructuring-mayo-ready-to-defend-what-they-hold
Seamus O’Shea is likely to come into the picture with Barry Moran at midfield
while Cillian O’Connor, Alan Dillon, Andy Moran, Kevin McLoughlin, Pat Harte and Jason Doherty are expected to form the Mayo attack.
At the back Westport pair of Kevin Keane and Lee Keegan look set to start along with Ger Cafferkey, Keith Higgins, Donal Vaughan and Colm Boyle although the good club form of Richie Feeney could see the Mitchels man introduced during the game if not from the start. David Clarke looks set to retain the number one shirt.
I follow football to get away from politics/politicians and their blather. I look to the right of the comment page and I see Dara Calleary smiling head looking back at me. In case anybody thinks I am anti FF , I am not, I despise the lot of them. Bad evening ahead for me now !
Handicap Betting Mayo -11 or only 11/4 to win by 16pts or more says it all really.
Willie Joe do you know how season ticket holders (not Cairde Maigheo) get their tickets for Sunday?
Cynthia, they usually e-mail your tickets and you have to print them out, or you might just have to bring your card to get scanned.
Hope they win and beat the magpies
Anybody else not get an email regarding the season tickets? Anyway, I think Leitrim will be mightily up for this one and we’ll win by 1 and 3 points.
Cynthia – I think Mick is correct re the situation on the season tickets but I’ll check it out later on (though it will be later on) today to see if I can find out any more news. For what it’s worth, my Cairde Mhaigheo ticket arrived to me here in the post in Dublin bright and early this morning.
Got an email about the season tickets (not Cáirde Maigh Eo). Just bring your card and go to stile 1 or 2 and it will be scanned there.
Beat me to it Tubberman 🙂
i hope we dont end up with a 15 or 16 point victory over letrim like galway v ros and end up getting ambushed by sligo kevin walsh has sligo well primed for mayo there could yet be another twist in the tail before this con chamionship is completed mayo are in a no win sit on sunday win by a cricket score it was expected win by 2 or 3 pnts and were not as good as we think we are either way ill take a mayo victory regardless of the margin
An absolute thrashing , Mayo will score 4/5 goals in the first half. Davis and goliath stuff. No disrespect to Leitrim but thats the way i see this panning out.
Anyone else hear, Mayo fitness/sharpness levels up on where they were at this stage last year.
Mayo to cover the 16 point handicap, im having a lash anyway..11/4. Cover the days expenses.
*d
Just getting back about this point on non-Cairde Mhaigheo season tickets. I’m told that it’s definitely the case that all you need do is turn up with your card and go through the stiles reserved for season tickets where it will be scanned on entry. All Cairde Mhaigheo ticket holders should, by now, have got their tickets for the match in the post.
Mayo by five in the first and twelve in total
