Qualifiers, contenders and LGFA preview – Mayo News Football Podcast 2022 E19

As the football Championship begins to gather pace, in this episode of the Mayo News Football Podcast Mike and Rob are joined by Colm Keys of the Irish Independent to chat about the summer campaign and Mayo’s possible place in it. They start by looking at the qualifiers and kind of draw that Mayo can expect in it. Colm then lists out the likely contenders for the Sam Maguire this year and goes on to discuss how Mayo might go about putting themselves back in the frame.

The lads then chat about the Mayo ladies football team, ahead of their Connacht final clash with Galway on Sunday. We hear from Mayo manager Michael Moyles and from vice-captain Saoirse Lally, both of whom spoke with Oisín McGovern last weekend.
