Ready for action

It’s the night before our opening championship match of 2012 and, with the trip down to the west completed earlier on, we’ve only the short hop over to Castlebar to do tomorrow. It looks as if the weather might be okay and, with both the minors and the seniors to shout for, we’ve plenty of action to get our teeth into after this ludicrously long lay-off we’ve all had to endure.

I’ll be heading back to the capital tomorrow evening so it’s likely to be close enough to midnight – perhaps a bit after – before the full match report appears here though I should have the audio version up shortly after full-time. Here’s to success on the double tomorrow. Up Mayo!

  1. I see we’re 1/100 to win the match today. that shows where PAddy power experts put us n the scheme of things (and where they put Leitrim). An Spailpin is correct – we should win this at a canter. If we don’t there are serious problems ahead.

  2. Well the start of another championship journey is upon us.. Wish both of our teams the best of luck today and I have no doubt if they play to their best they will both come away with a victory….. Is it me or is the championship as a whole kinda gone stale.. some of the games are a bit one side and so is the hurlin.. hope todays games are of good quality and that the weather holds up…. come on the RED and GREEN

  3. Good luck mayo seniors and minors. Hope we make a statement today and get a good win. Important our minors start producing again. is the game being streamed anywhere willie joe?

  4. I can’t see anything on the RTE website to say that it is, remember51, and I suspect they’re only going to give us the customary 5-minute highlights coverage tonight. NewsTalk are covering it today on the radio as well as Midwest but for the visual side of things it’s a case of being there or nothing by the looks of it. Looking forward to being there myself, I must admit.
