It was All-Star awards weekend for both the GAA and the LGFA and while we came away empty-handed in the former – understandably, seeing as we weren’t in the conversation for Sam in a serious way this year – the county has an LGFA All-Star award to celebrate, with Danielle Caldwell earning a place on the team at corner-back.

It’s a second All-Star award for the Castlebar Mitchels player, as she was also included on the 2022 team. It’s throughly deserved as well, as Danielle was one of the mainstays of the team this year, which, for the third year in a row, made it to the All-Ireland semi-final. Congrats to her on the award.
