  1. Really unfair on Belmullet – the distance alone will tire any player out. As for the Knockmore/Garrymore game – 7pm on a winter’s evening with the time changed. Crazy disregard for players and fans. The venues are only neutral in name

  2. Laughable that the belmullet are playing in Breaffy. Are the county board for real? It’s bloody 10 min drive from Westport!
Why couldn’t it be played in crossmolina? Or Ballina? Or even Knockmore?

  3. Thats the grudge factor sorted for Belmullet with the location choice! softish weather too for Sunday

  4. It appears a big issue is being made about venue once again as is the common theme in this years championship.
In my opinion, Belmullet would be better served focusing on Westport & on-field matters. There was never an issue when knockout fixtures were contested in MacHale Park or COE. Breaffy Gaa have facilities befitting of hosting a semi final regardless of distance from either club. Its not Croke Park, its 1 hour up the road. There is no problem with players travelling half way across the country for midweek training so enough of the sympathy votes.

  5. Dream Alive – have you travelled the road from Belmullet to Castlebar – probably one of the worst roads in the country,
Why on earth is this game not in Ballina ?
This really is a joke !!
Hopefully it provides a bit of additional motivation for the boys from The Mullet !!

It’s a fair few years since I togged out for them on the sandy banks in Carne !

  6. Breaffy is a handy for the Mayo management to look at proceedings, seem to be there fairly often.

  7. We’re well used to being treated like second class citizens in Erris and Belmullet but as Breaffy and Knockmore will attest we are no longer whipping boys our facilities at Tallagh are second to none. Westport will need to bring their A game to Breaffy
