Good news for those of you who can’t make it to MacHale Park on Sunday – TG4 announced earlier today that they’ll be showing the county final between Castlebar Mitchels and Ballintubber live on their GAA Beo programme. Transmission starts on Sunday at 3pm, ahead of the 3.30pm throw-in at McHale Park.
This news suits me, I have to admit, as I wasn’t planning to travel west this weekend. I’ll be heading instead up the road to Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon, where the Dublin SFC semi-finals are being played. Plunketts play Jude’s in the curtain-raiser at 3.30pm with Vincents, who are now clear favourites to retain their county title, taking on Ballyboden at 5.15pm.
Mayo Gaa asking for opinions on new design for county Jersey 3 options on Twitter & Facebook have your say. Being bit of traditionalist I like version a. good to see return of red band, back to the green above the red.I would also welcome a return of the white Jersey as our alternate, never liked the predominately red jersey first introduced for Donegal semi 1992. White of Connacht served us well in 1951.
Looking forward to the County Final on Sunday. Not from either club but will be an interested neutral. The minor game Moy Davitts v Claremorris is on at 1:30. I fully except Claremorris to win that game.
