The switch in venue for our next NFL match has now been confirmed, with the official GAA website (i.e. not our own shambolic official county one, which rarely has any pertinent information to impart) stating that the game will take place in Letterkenny next Saturday afternoon, with a throw-in time of 2.30pm. I definitely won’t make it to this one; I wasn’t planning to travel to Ballybofey for the evening throw-in and an afternoon throw-in on the Saturday suits me even less. I’d imagine that’ll be the way with a lot of people and the drive to Letterkenny, either up from Mayo or over from Dublin, is likely to even more of a pain, what with all the normal traffic that’ll be on the roads at that time on a Saturday. The one positive thing arising from the decision to play the match on Saturday (indeed, this is, in all likelihood, the reason why they’re doing this) is that full deferred coverage will, as was originally planned, be shown on Setanta later that evening, starting at 9.30 pm.
