The GAA website is now showing once more (as it had been doing up till yesterday) that our quarter-final against either Limerick or Meath will take place at Croke Park at 2 pm on Sunday 9th August. Hogan Stand is saying that it’ll be the meat in the sandwich between the hurling minor semi-final (which will get underway at midday) and the senior semi-final between Kilkenny and Waterford which is set to throw-in at 4 pm. So, there you have it.
No change to the minors, though: they’re still down to play their quarter-final with Tipp at 3 pm next Monday, while the rest of the country will be glued to the box salivating on the 2009 equivalent of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
I see there are rumours flying around about an injury to Barry Moran, with a claim on the Hogan Stand discussion board that he’s broken his wrist. I understand that the injury may not be as serious as this but that he could be a doubt for the quarter-final. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement, though, to get the full story on it.
Right lads, Help needed here, I want the goalie Jersey , the mother saw it in ballina in XL but no other size , it wasnt to be found in Galway either, anyone know if it is in Castlebar or Westport?
Muchas Gracias Amigos.
Saw it in Castlebar last week, couldnt tell you if its still there.
I would have thought that playing our moinr game as the undercard to the Limerick Meath game in Portlaoise would have been a good idea. It would have required the minors to play again within 6 days ( 🙁 ) but then the Mayo supporters could have stayed on to sus out the next senior opponents ( 🙂 ).
But maybe that was a bit too logical!!!!
