Team for LGFA match against Dublin named

We’ve named our team to play Dublin in Round 3 of the LGFA National League Division One on Sunday at James Stephens Park (throw-in 2pm). Here’s the starting fifteen we’ve named for this one:

Mayo (LGFA NFL Division One v Dublin, 4/2/2024): Lisa Reid (Moy Davitts); Lucy Wallace (Burrishoole), Nicola O’Malley (Westport), Saoirse Lally (Westport, captain); Kathryn Sullivan (Castlebar Mitchels), Danielle Caldwell (Castlebar Mitchels), Jenna Mortimer (Hollymount); Aoife Geraghty (Westport), Hannah Reape (Knockmore); Fionnula McLaughlin (Westport), Alana Fitzpatrick (Claremorris), Maria Cannon (Burrishoole); Tara Needham (Louisburgh), Fiona McHale (Carnacon), Lisa Cafferky (Kilmovee Shamrocks).

So it’s just the one change from the team we started last time out against Galway. Into the starting team comes Alana Fitzpatrick, replacing Sinéad Walsh.

Dublin have also named their team for Sunday, details of which are here.

If you’re planning on going to the match on Sunday, you’ll need to get your tickets in advance. The link for that is here.

Mike and I are aiming to be at Sunday’s match and we’re planning on doing a Final Whistle pod afterwards from James Stephens Park. Stay tuned for that.

If you can’t make it to Ballina on Sunday, you can still watch the game live, thanks to the very welcome return of the LGFA’s match streaming service. Match passes cost €10 and the link for that is here.

The best of luck to the team on Sunday.

  1. Mayo ladies flying it at ht in Ballina, albeit with a strong breeze, 2-7 to 4.
Lisa Cafferky absolutely sensational. Kicking points off both feet for fun, with 2-5 of mayos tally. Sinead Walsh, Alana Fitzpatrick, Aoife Geraghty and Saoirse Lally all outstanding.
Big test to come in second half.
