Team to play Cork named

We’ve named our team and subs for tomorrow’s LGFA NFL Division One clash with Cork at Mallow (throw-in 2.30pm). Here’s the match day panel – thirty players in all – that we’ve named for the game:

Mayo (LGFA NFL Division One v Cork, 2/3/2024): Laura Brennan (Hollymount); Alana Fitzpatrick (Claremorris), Nicola O’Malley (Westport), Saoirse Lally (Westport); Kathryn Sullivan (Castlebar Mitchels), Danielle Caldwell (Castlebar Mitchels), Jenna Mortimer (Hollymount); Aoife Geraghty (Westport), Hannah Reape (Knockmore); Fionnuala McLaughlin (Westport), Lisa Cafferky (Kilmovee Shamrocks), Maria Cannon (Burrishoole); Tara Needham (Louisburgh), Fiona McHale (Carnacon), Sinéad Walsh (MacHale Rovers). Subs: Lisa Reid (Moy Davitts), Erin Murray (Ballyhaunis), Sinéad Cafferky (Kilmovee Shamrocks), Sorcha McCarney (Westport), Aoife Staunton (Westport), Caitlin Henry (Swinford), Ciara Durkin (Knockmore), Emily Reape (Knockmore), Chelsea Doherty (Charlestown), Milly Sheridan (Kilmoremoy), Niamh Mooney (Aghamore), Emma Needham (Louisburgh), Rebecca Kiernan (Parke), Saoirse Delaney (Aghamore), Ciara Needham (Louisburgh).

So it’s two changes from the team that started down in Killarney against Kerry a fortnight ago. Into the starting fifteen come Danielle Caldwell and Jenna Mortimer, replacing Sinéad Cafferky and Erin Murray.

Don’t forget that this game is being streamed live by TG4 on YouTube and I’ll have this stream up here on the blog as well so, if you want to catch the game, you’ll be able to do so here.

The best of luck to the women tomorrow.

  1. Hopefully get a win after the draw with Kerry. McHale seems to be building something nicely.

WJ great coverage as always of all things Mayo GAA.

Also, will the GAA ever get some sense and have it all as one, instead of going to separate websites.
