We’ve named our starting fifteen for Sunday’s LGFA NFL Division One match against Donegal at Letterkenny on Sunday (throw-in 2pm). Here it is:
Mayo (LGFA NFL Division One v Donegal, 26/3/2023): Laura Brennan (Hollymount); Éilis Ronayne (Davitts), Danielle Caldwell (Castlebar Mitchels), Saoirse Lally (Westport); Tamara O’Connor (Cill Chomain), Ciara Needham (Louisburgh), Kathryn Sullivan (Castlebar Mitchels, captain); Aoife Geraghty (Westport), Sinéad Cafferkey (Kilmovee Shamrocks); Sinéad Walsh (MacHale Rovers), Shauna Howley (Knockmore), Fiona McHale (Carnacon); Lisa Cafferkey (Kilmovee Shamrocks), Rachel Kearns (MacHale Rovers), Tara Needham (Louisburgh).
Although there are a few positional switches for Sunday, this is the same team as that which lined out last weekend against Galway.

The best of luck to the women on Sunday and here’s hoping that they get something from this match, which, if they do, will see them retain their Division One status for next year.
It’s interesting to see the greater spread of clubs represented in the last few years, strength of ladies football growing in the county. No doubt a lot of this is built off underage development that started following All Ireland successes.
