Time for a quick mention for the hurlers of Tooreen who this afternoon completed a three-in-a-row of Mayo SHC titles. Also this afternoon St Ciarán’s won their first ever adult title when they got the better of Castlebar Mitchels in the Mayo SHC ‘B’ final at Westport. An amalgamation of seven clubs – Ballina, Gaeltacht Iorrais, Ballyvary, Claremorris, Caiseal Gaels, Westport and Moytura – St Ciarán’s won today’s final by 0-20 to 1-15.
