Tickets now on sale for the Galway game

It was announced earlier on this afternoon that tickets have now gone on sale for the Galway game on 24th April. Like all matches nowadays, it’s a ticket-only game with all tickets having to be bought in advance.

Tickets for the game are available to purchase online here.

Season ticket holders should also have got an email today, providing details on how to access your ticket (which, as it’s our first match in the Championship, is included in the overall price) for the game. This mail also includes information on buying additional tickets for the match.

Those who also purchased tiles as part of the Laochra Mhaigh Eo initiative should also have got an email yesterday, with an invite to the official launch of the Heroes Wall at MacHale Park, which is scheduled to take place at the stadium on Saturday, 23rd April, at 6pm.

With the pitch redevelopment works now successfully completed – the cost of which was part-funded by the Laochra Mhaigh Eo initiative – this will be an opportunity for those who supported this fundraising to see the fruits of this initiative, both the wall itself and, of course, the pristine new playing surface on which Mayo and Galway will do battle the following afternoon.

  1. After all the scaremongering earlier in the year about the pitch being ready, it’s great news to know it will be back in all it’s glory for the big game.
It will be a great occasion for sure, and how fitting it is that the opening game is against our great rivals Galway.
No pressure guys, but if there was ever a time for Mayo to lay down a marker, then this is the time and this the place!!!
