Today’s camogie match is OFF

It was announced a bit earlier on that this afternoon’s opening round Camogie League Division 4 match between Mayo and Louth is OFF. The pitch at Darver is unplayable.

Given the volume of rain that fell on this side of the country overnight and this morning, that’s no surprise. All juvenile and adult GAA, LGFA and Camogie matches in Dublin are off this weekend, with pitches everywhere closed in light of the inclement conditions.

It takes more than this kind of weather to impact a game scheduled for Croke Park, where the pitch was deal with whatever the heavens send its way. It’s cleared up nicely in the capital now but apparently more rain is on the way for later.
