An exhibition football match is being played in Claremorris this Saturday at 3pm as part of the ‘Together For Ger’ initiative.
The game will see friends, former team-mates and club-mates of Ger Brady from Claremorris tog out as a Mayo selection takes on a Claremorris selection. Ger (44) was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease last August.
Mike is joined on the pod by former Mayo footballer Ger Brady (no relation) from Ballina and former Claremorris footballer Pauric Ring to chat about Saturday’s game and to reflect on why so many people want to come along this weekend to show the ‘real’ Ger Brady their support.

A lot of Mayo Legends togging out for this, including Kevin O Neill, Mortimer’s, Horan, Maughan and Andy Moran to name a few. Any chance this is streamed, I would certainly pay to see some of these lads don the boots again.
