Tooreen gunning for Connacht glory once again

The hurlers of Tooreen take centre-stage from a Mayo GAA perspective this weekend. The club, which back in January this year, contested an All-Ireland Intermediate club hurling Championship final where they lost out narrowly to Limerick’s Monaleen, are on the march once again and on Sunday they’re aiming to retain their Connacht IHC title.

Athleague is the venue for Sunday’s game, in which Tooreen will be up against Ballinderreen of Galway, the club they beat when winning this title for the first time back in 2017. Sunday’s game throws in at 1.30pm.

If you’re planning on going to the game, the link for purchasing tickets online is here. The match is also being streamed live by Connacht GAA (€10 match pass) and the link for that is here.

The very best of luck to Tooreen on Sunday.

  1. Its some achievement to consider Mayo club hurling is more successful in recent years than our football in Provincial club championship …….
Tooreen are a wonderful community club and in spite of the many challenges maximise their potential on consistent basis…..
Best of luck to them in Sunday’s Intermediate final …
