The GAA yesterday confirmed fixture details for next month’s All-Ireland Intermediate club hurling final between Limerick’s Monaleen and our lads from Tooreen. This title decider will be played at Croke Park on Saturday, 14th January under the lights at 7pm.
The Intermediate final forms part of a Croke Park double-header and there’s Connacht involvement in the other game too. That’s the All-Ireland Junior club hurling final between Ballygiblin of Cork and Easkey of Sligo and it’s the evening’s curtain-raiser, throwing in at HQ at 5pm. Both finals will be broadcast live by TG4.
Tooreen have launched a Road to Croker fundraiser to help ensure that the team have everything they need in preparing for the big match. The training fund will be used to offset the extra cost of travel, training, pitch hire under lights and other expenses. Further details on this extremely worthy fundraiser are here.
Tooreen’s Fergal Boland was a guest on Off The Ball today and the link for that is here.
Good luck to Tooreen. My late br Pearse played for them many years ago.
They have kept hurling going in Mayo
