It was two wins from two for the county on the hurling front today.

In the Rackard Cup the county’s Senior hurlers had a fairly decisive win over Armagh in Round 4. We won that one at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park by 4-19 to 1-16. As this match report in the Irish Independent confirms (here) it’s going to be between ourselves and Roscommon for a place in the final against Donegal.

Earlier in the day down in Tulla, meanwhile, the county’s U17 hurlers got the better of Kerry in the quarter-final of the Celtic Challenge. The final score in that one was 3-24 to 3-10.

Finally, a shout-out to the LGFA U14 Mayo team who this afternoon beat Dublin by 1-20 to 1-6 in the All-Ireland Gold quarter-final at TUS in Athlone. Well done to them.
