  1. A few lads lucky to hold their spots upfront with such misfiring V Leitrim-Delighted for Conor Loftus back from injury & all the other blows he endured recently…it’d be nice to beat these!!!

  2. What happened to padraig prendergast from Louisburgh? He was midfield on last years team as a 19 year old but is not even on the panel this year?

  3. Galway team if anyone is interested…
    1 tadgh o malley (Lettermore)
    2 Eoin Kerin (Annaghdown)
    3 jack Wyndham (Carraroe)
    4 Johnny Heaney (Killanin)
    5 Kieran Molloy (Corofin)
    6 Adrian Nolan (Killererin)
    7 Liam Silke (Corofin)
    8 Michael Day (Headford)
    9 Dylan Corbett (Headford)
    10 Enda Tierney (Oughterard)
    11 Damien Comer (Annaghdown)
    12 Colin Brady (Corofin)
    13 Michael Daly (Mountbellew)
    14 Gary Kelly (Williamstown)
    15 Eamon Brannigan (St Michaels)

One or two of the positions above may be incorrect.
I’m a little surprised at some of the selection. Really thought my own clubman Darren Moran would start in the backs. He was outstanding for Gmit in the FBD and Sigerson.
Also thought Conor Cunningham from Corofin would make the cut.
Eoin McCormack is a huge loss to us upfront.off the panel due to a knee injury.
He was one of the best minor footballers in the country in 2013.
It’s an average enough team we have this year I think.

  4. Had planned to make the journey but in a bad way with a cold and all go here organising young mans confirmation for during the week.

    Have mid west got commentary?

  5. @ Sean Burke, Yes I seen on the Mayo GAA twitter feed that its live on Midwest.

Best of luck to the lads today, it would be great to get a win.

  6. Galwayman i don’t think Eoin McCormack has played any U-21 football for Galway yet be it last year or in the hasting cup. No Cunningham,Farragher,Mannion,Mc Hugh etc is a surprise

Won’t make the game about to tune into midwest, Mayo have more balanced looking side and having a game/win under their belt and playing at home should be enough to win.

  7. Not good enough

This u21 management have failed miserably.

Mayo u21 dismal for the past few years. It doesn’t bode well. It’ll be ten yrs since out last final at this grade, the longest gap Mayo has ever gone without reaching the final at this grade.

County board need a good long look at the structures they have in place. But they won’t. I’ve no confidence in them

  8. Just home from the game now.
Not saying this with my Galway hat on – but Galway really should have won the game a lot more comfortably than by a 4 point margin.
They missed a lot of very scoreable frees. We’re going to need to find a free taker before the Connacht final.

Damien Comer was the outstanding player on the pitch (until his black card).
Mayo never really got going in this game.their most dangerous player was the wing back Durcan.
Delighted for my own two club mates who both played well.

  9. MO2015 – I’m fairly sure McCormack played in at least one of the hastings cup games.it may have been off the bench. But I definitely saw his name listed for one of the games.
Friend of mine told me yesterday he had to leave the panel due to his knee injury…
Conor Cunningham was absolutely outstanding when he came on.
Surprised that Farragher didn’t make the squad at least.Dylan Wall his clubmate came on today but is a little lightweight maybe just yet.
